RFID/NFC

RFID/NFC

The technique of RFID and NFC both have their own use and in some cases offer excellent solutions. Information on a website however is too short to give you a good impression and explain the pro’s and cons’. If you want information, please contact us. We will be happy to help.

RFID:
For registration of visitors-flows or at the entrance of rooms. RFID can be used for the analysis of traffic and the demographic data. Because the chip is linked to the profile of the visitor, the organiser can see what type of visitor attended a presentation. This information can be used to make adjustments for the next edition or to personalize newsletters and information.

NFC:
For scanning badges with a chip built in. The badge can be scanned by an exhibitor who automatically has all the data safely stored on a laptop.

With NFC, the distance between chip and reader should be no more than a few centimeters.
The NFC technology at events is in many places taken over by QR codes or the principle of tagging. Partly due to the more expensive nature of NFC and RFID and the upcoming of Smartphones with scanners. The battle between QR and NFC is not over yet  as new experiments with NFC and Smartphones provide interesting solutions…
